The unhurried village of Akumal began as a diving resort and remote getaway for discerning travelers. Yal-Ku Lagoon is a pristine cenote that is home to a wide variety of sea life. A five minute walk from Vista del Mar. Other activities include windsurfing, jungle walks, cave exploring, fishing, and turtle watching.
Day trips can be arranged to visit the ruins of Tulum, Chichen Itza, and Coba, the Aktun Chen Caves, Xel-Ha, and the Sian Ka'an Biosphere.
Playa del Carmen and the island of Cozumel are also good day trips for shopping and sight seeing. Ask our reception about arranging an Alamo rental car for the day.
