Splendidly appointed Villa Linda and Casa Rita with beautiful views overlooking the wooded valley and approaches to the lovely hilltop village of Pariana and only 20 minutes from Lucca.
Pariana, a typical working hilltop Tuscan village with a maze of lovely narrow stone paved streets and clear Tuscan spring water running from the drinking fountain in the square and with a local population of approx 250, is reached by a road winding up from the valley floor at Collodi, the birthplace of Pinocchio, through the chestnut woods and olive groves. The hilltop setting, often with its light breeze, gives welcome relief from the stifling heat built up on the plain below.
